Some of which include:
Horseless Carriage builder and Blacksmith, Corporal in the US Army Balloon Corps, WWI Veteran, Original Ford Motor Company Automobile Dealer in central North Carolina, Founder and Fire Chief of the Kernersville North Carolina Fire Department (40yrs),

Other Offices he held for the town of Kernersville include:
Town Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Building Inspector, Civil Defense Leader WWII, Head of the local Board of Education.

He owned and operated a Heavy Duty Wrecker business and was a devoted husband and father of two sons. In his spare time he enjoyed raising and showing Quarter Horses and playing golf.
